PRIOR-itizing Life

Walking behind him I have a sense of pride, standing a little taller, feeling a bit possessive, loved, protected and totally happy. Yes, I did say behind him, at the moment, because it is often where I walk when I am with him, at least in certain places and only because he is so protective of me from all the creeps that meander around the different places we go to. As he looks back, I smile at him and instantly feel subconscious, almost shy, with a feeling of 'yes?' questioning my thinking as he is making sure I am there behind him. We had just got done putting wood in the stove, it is late at night and he is making sure I am there with him and was ok; a very reassuring feeling. He is very cocky a lot of the times and 'full of it' as we often call the term for how he laughs and jokes and cajoles. He has a manner and a funny humor that just makes a person feel comfortable, no matter what kind of situation you are in. He is like a kid magnet too. Our own grand baby, the

So, the new year for us came and went without a whole lot of gibberish, calling, hollering, loud tv, drinking, and none of the above. For us, we stayed up, watched some television till after midnight, talked a lot, worked before the witching hour happened and once it came and went, without any fuss or muss, had our ritual new year kiss and soon later, headed to bed. No fuss, no muss and I guess that is how things go the older you get or maybe its just a middle age thing or maybe, its just us, who knows. All I know is that it is the first time in a few years that we had actually stayed up till after midnight at new years eve and who knows if it will be the last, I guess only time will tell. Working has been going very well for my husband, business is literally booming. For me, its slow and steady but at least it is steady and I feel blessed to have the job I do have and the ability to have an income, made from home, to not only feel as if I am participating in paying part of our bills
